Your trip from Manila to Seattle just got easier.</p><p>After a long-awaited launch, Philippine Airlines introduced a direct flight from Manila to Seattle last October 2, a development that has thrilled many Filipinos. This new route offers a faster, more convenient travel option for those returning home for the holidays or for visitors from Seattle eager to experience Filipino culture.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/10/9/pal-launches-direct-manila-seattle-flights-2041" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PAL launches direct Manila-Seattle flights</a></div><p>Stanley Ng, President of Philippine Airlines, highlighted the significance of this new service. &quot;We know that having this direct flight will provide so much convenience as well as create a lot of value for both communities for the Philippines as well as the United States,&quot; Ng stated. &quot;This is a very good opportunity that we can promote our tourism to the locals of Seattle and the whole Washington state.&quot;</p><p>The flights operate three times a week—on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—providing a streamlined travel experience. Salvador Britanico, Vice President for Sales at Philippine Airlines, noted, &quot;Going from here in Seattle to Manila, it&#x27;s about 13 hours. Without this flight, it will take them close to 20 hours.&quot; This reduction in travel time makes the journey much more convenient for Filipinos and tourists alike.</p><p>While in Seattle, travelers can immerse themselves in the city&#x27;s iconic attractions. </p><p>Pike Place Market is a must-see destination, famed for its fresh seafood and the entertaining “fish tossing.” Visitors can indulge in a variety of delicious foods, from clam chowder, and cheese to unique treats like ube and coconut Gelato. One floor below is the “Loupe,” the world’s first and only revolving glass floor which rotates 360 degrees every 30 minutes.</p><p>Art and culture enthusiasts will find plenty to explore at the Museum of Pop Culture or MoPOP, which houses memorabilia from popular films and music, including exhibits on grunge bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Jimmy Hendricks who all originated from Seattle.</p><p>Additionally, the Museum of Flight is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts. Located at Boeing Field, the museum features historical aircraft and spacecraft, including a mock-up of the space shuttle, fighter planes from 1914, and reconnaissance military and spy aircraft like the ‘Blackbird’ showcasing the evolution of flight technology.</p><p>The new direct flight from Manila to Seattle not only simplifies travel but also provides an opportunity for families and friends to reunite during the holiday season. This route is especially meaningful for the Filipino community in Seattle, offering a straightforward way to connect with loved ones.</p><p>Celebrity couple Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero were on board the PAL Manila-Seattle direct flight. Aubrey expressed her excitement about the new route. &quot;I’m very happy that they have direct to Seattle now because Troy’s family is from Seattle. And the flight is shorter, no more than 18 hours, just 11 hours,&quot; she shared.</p><p>Montero, echoed her sentiments, adding, &quot;It’s so nice, it goes by so fast, like 11 hours something, it’s so good.&quot;</p><p>With Philippine Airlines&#x27; new direct service, the journey from Manila to Seattle has become more convenient and enjoyable, making it easier for everyone to experience the rich culture and stunning landscapes of Seattle, especially as the holidays draw near.
