MANILA -- Okada Manila opened last Friday the country's biggest indoor beach and nightclub inside a massive dome structure.

Cove Manila is the newest entertainment and lifestyle destination in the metro, located within Okada Manila's 44-hectare property in Parañaque City.

The club, said to be the biggest in Southeast Asia, opened in style with top international DJ, Steve Aoki, headlining the launch party.

“We are very excited to finally showcase a different side of Manila, one where it owns a royal distinction as the best party hub in the region,” Maxwell Zetlin, Okada Manila's vice president for entertainment, said.

Enclosed inside a steel and glass dome, Cove Manila looks like an entire resort complex with a gigantic roof. It has several pools, two three-storey buildings that house private cabanas, private hot tubs, several bars, and a nightclub.

The dome structure is man-made marvel on its own, making Entertainment City's skyline more interesting. It's dome is column free and is 30 meters tall at its highest point. The glass used for the dome are UV-protected, giving guests a perfect and skin-friendly view of the Manila Bay.

The immense 9,000-square meter space is an indoor beach club and a nightclub rolled into one.

During daytime, the beach club can cater to guests who just want to chill and cool down in a butterfly-shaped swimming pool. The main floor has comfortable outdoor furniture from sofas to lounge chars. The faux palm trees and several real plants that dot the space create an illusion of the outdoors.

The club also has 29 private cabanas that have their own private hot tubs. The cabanas are equipped with comfortable seating, bar, television set, and private bathroom.

At night, the entire space turns into a party zone. Aside from the nightclub which has its own six-ring kinetic chandelier which can produce up to 10,000 special effects and choreographed LED video mapping, the entire space has a multi-sensory and immersive audio and light systems. The club has the Tony Andrew's Funktion-One high resolution sound system.

The bars, on the other hand, have an extensive line of liquor and spirits from Belevedere vodka to luxurious Moet & Chandon champagnes. The bar chow offers classic drinking partner eats like nachos and cheese sticks.

For this month, Cove Manila will be hosting several parties including two-time Grammy nominated producer and global festival headliner, Dirty South set on December 22; Dutch DJ and music producer Laidback Luke on December 23; Spanish electro house DJ and producer Danny Avila on December 29; Dirty Dutch DJ Chuckie on December 30; and Grammy Best Remix awardee Cedric Gervais at the New Year's Eve party on December 31.
