MANILA -- (UPDATE) "Tama na, Pa."

These were the words of presidential son Sebastian "Baste" Duterte as he asked his father to tone down criticism of him.

On Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte once again took another swipe at his son for allegedly not giving enough financial support to his children. Reiterating that he feels sad for his grandkids who hardly see their father, Duterte admitted taking advantage of media's coverage to reach out to Baste.

"Yang anak kong si Baste na tatay, P***** I**** Baste iyan asan ka?" the elder Duterte said on live television.

Choosing to react on Facebook, Baste told his father to stop. He also quipped that the President should scold Chokoleit instead after a video of the comedian kissing another man went viral.

Baste has a 2-year-old son, Yair, with Davao-based model, Kate Necesario. He also has a daughter with an ex-girlfriend.

Last Thursday, Duterte surprisingly got candid as he opened about his family. He scoffed at his son's highly publicized relationship with actress Ellen Adarna, criticizing Baste for not being home enough.

Baste has previously responded to his father’s rants and said he really loves being the "favorite" child in the family. In Bisaya, he reminded his father that he told him last December that he and Adarna had already broken up. "Chill lang, Pa," he wrote.

Baste added that he has just been staying in their other house since February 1, an apparent reply to his father who claims that he doesn't know where to find him.
