In the middle of a sweltering hot summer with thermometers threatening to burst in the sizzling heat, we say: cool it. Chill. Get out of the sun, pull up your phone and order a pint of your favorite frozen dessert. And almost as if they heard your SOS, these gelato, ice cream and sorbet makers have all come out with fresh and fun summer flavors. Some celebrate local fruit, others are inspired by nostalgia. We put together this list of the best new frozen flavors we’re loving right now (plus one or two that we think missed your radar, but absolutely deserve space in your fridge). Now you know what to stock up on. You’re welcome.

Farmacy - The height of mango season is the perfect time to indulge in Farmacy’s fantastic mango ice cream. And discover their line of sorbets made with Filipino fruit: Guyabano, Guava and Calamansi. Light, fruity, refreshing. IG: @farmacyicecream.ORDER HERE

Carmen’s Best - Have you tried their new limited-edition flavors? Hokey Pokey, Matcha Kakigori, Natural Cheddar, and Strawberry Cheesecake are all available at the Power Plant Mall and Mall of Asia ice cream parlors. And there's a poll. One of these summer flavors will become a permanent flavor. Every in-store purchase counts as a vote. Strawberry Cheesecake and Matcha Kakigori are in the lead this week, but you can still catch up, honey and cheese lovers! IG: @carmensbest.ORDER HERE

Crèm Gelato - So silky, so luxuriously creamy, and best of all, delivered straight to your door. We love the Dark Matter Arabica (coffee and gelato in one!), the Basque Burnt Fior with cheesecake chunks in vanilla gelato, and the Pistachio Praline Non Dolce, a real classic. There are lots more flavors to choose from. IG: @cremgelato.ORDER HERE

Gelato by Chef Miko - In this playful gelateria, award-winning pastry chef Miko Aspiras crafts fun, one-of-a-kind gelato flavors like the Skramble, a back-to-the-‘90s childhood favorite, made with Valrhona strawberry, velvety chocolate sauce, and fluffy mallows. Or the sunny Calamansi, a zesty burst of tropical delight made with calamansi curd and meringue. A personal favorite is the Ube Basque Burnt Cheesecake made with Bukidnon milk, baked Spanish cheesecake, and rich ube halaya. 4/F SM Aura Premier. IG: @gelatobychefmiko.ORDER HERE

Gelato by Chef Miko - Don’t miss the limited-time Flavors of the Moment: tangy and juicy Burrata and Berries, and Blueberry Forest. @gelatobychefmiko is also available at Joel’s Place, The Proscenium Retail Row, Rockwell.ORDER HERE

Gelato Manila - These sorbets made with fresh fruit, citrus, and raw cane sugar are all light, tangy and guilt-free. Choose between strawberry, lemon, orange, dragon fruit and mango passion fruit—this last one is made with naturally-sweet full bodied mango swirled with passion fruit. All sorbets are gluten-free, vegan-friendly, nut and egg-free. Gelato Manila also has new gelato flavors like Pili Chocolate Milk sourced from Sorsogon and some parts of Rizal, and their own version of Giandjuhia (hazelnut) gelato. IG: @gelatomanila.ORDER HERE

Almond Koka x Gelato Manila - Gelato Manila's Zarah Manikan collaborated with Almond Koka to create these non-dairy gelato flavors made with almond milk: Almond Mantikilya (almond butter gelato flavor—this one is keto and diabetic friendly), Kokoa (chocolate) and Mango Koka (mango gelato flavor). Available in single serve cups or in a special box set. ORDER HERE

Kurimu - Craving for something umami? This Raspberry Sake Swirl with Calamansi Peanut Crunch is a “carefully crafted flavor that marries the tart sweetness of raspberries with the understated umami of sake, enhanced by the bright zest of calamansi. The addition of crunchy peanuts juxtaposes the creamy texture of the ice cream, while active collagen enriches its smoothness. A harmonious blend that offers a complex yet balanced sensory experience—fruity, nutty, luxuriously creamy.” IG: @kurimu.ph.ORDER HERE

LemonLime Manila - Imagine the most luscious key lime pie but in popsicle form. Yep, that’s what you get with Lemon Lime’s Piesicles, which are really frozen key lime pies dipped in Belgian chocolate. Fantastic! IG: @lemonlimemanila.ORDER HERE

Manila Creamery - Remember those hot summer days of your childhood when life was so simple and so were the treats? Manila Creamery brings us a sweet dose of nostalgia with its duo of summer flavors: Calamansi and Honey, and Orange Creamsicle. And, by the way, they have a secret menu with limited time flavors. Right now, it’s Mojito Sorbet, a mint-infused lime sorbet mixed with white rum. So perfect for summer. IG: @mnlcreamery.ORDER HERE
