It’s the biggest night in fashion and the stars are out to stand out. The Met Gala this year is themed “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” which celebrates the exhibition of the same name which spans across 13 of the American period rooms at the Met. For this one special night every year, showstoppers flocked the red carpet in New York City and made sure to make a statement.

Gilded glamour was the dress code and was very much open to interpretation. Guests came shimmering, glimmering, flowing in jewels—in tiaras, through embellishment, sparkling clutches and shoes—and sure were in theme.

The official co-chairs this year were Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, Regina King, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Honorary co-chairs were Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour.

See the top shows topping looks by Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and more in the gallery down below!

Kodi Smit-Mcphee in Bottega Veneta - The breakout star Kodi Smit-McPhee is also a fashion star. The young actor wore Bottega Veneta in what they say was inspired by America’s “casual Fridays” look.
