This year’s Miss Universe delegates relied on references and symbols that represented their respective nations.

Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi made quite an impact with her glamazon costume. Inspired by the iconic Filipino superhero Darna, designer Oliver Tolentino and metalwork accessories designer Jerome Navarro had all the right references to pull off this one of a kind National Costume. Could Celeste possibly bag the Best in National Costume award? We’ll just have to wait and see.
