In this episode of “Atin A10 Lang,” Andrea Brillantes willingly obliged to our request for her to bare several random facts about herself that not a lot of people probably know yet.

First and foremost, a lot of people may have perceived her as a “baddie,” probably because of the kontrabida characters that she portrayed in her past projects, not to mention Marga in the highly successful afternoon soap opera “Kadenang Ginto.” But Andrea confessed that she's actually a "dweeb," which is a Gen Z term for "a person who is physically and socially awkward and has little confidence," according to the Cambridge Dictionary.

Just in case you’ve seen her in spectacles, know that it’s not simply for aesthetics since she actually has poor eyesight. She also has to wear oral/occlusal splints or bite guards to help manage temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ/TMD), which, according to clevelandclinic.org is “a group of conditions affecting the jaw joint and surrounding muscles.” Besides, she’s also been suffering from back pain, which is probably due to her scoliosis.

Even though she is surrounded by family and friends, Andrea admitted that she’s actually fond of going out all by herself. She’s apparently an introvert, as she revealed how her social batteries tend to run out easily, so she really recharges herself whenever she goes home.

She also recalled having a pair of dimples and curly hair when she was still a kid, but they gradually disappeared as time went by.

And lastly, she revealed having trypophobia as well, or the “fear of clusters of small holes, circles, or bumps,” according to everydayhealth.com. Thus, she wishes that nobody would dare show her any stuff with those characteristics, like honeycombs, sponges, skins of snakes, lizards, frogs, and other reptiles, among others.

These revelations made us love Andrea even more as she confidently bared her imperfections, which many have probably found surprising and relatable.
