We know her as a sought-after television and radio host and a seasoned actress appearing in several programs ever since she started her showbiz career in 1984.

Amy Perez started out as an actress in the movie Campus Beat and succeeded the defunct game show Kuarta o Kahon. It was the 90’s sitcom Palibhasa Lalake and noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan that turned her into a household name.

And in 2016, she joined the gregarious family of It’s Showtime, wherein she is able to brandish not only her hosting prowess and wacky side, but her amazing dancing flair as well.

On her first participation in the noontime program’s annual Magpasikat tradition, she immediately stunned us with her and Joey Marquez’s ability to keep pace with their younger teammates in their jaw-dropping and breathtaking aerial routines spearheaded by the ever bold and beautiful Anne Curtis.

She proves that being playful has no age as her co-hosts pitted her against the Girltrends in showing her super energetic take on the “Ang Kulit” dance craze.

With one of the Tawag ng Tanghalan contestants confessing that he doesn’t really dance, Tiyang Amy and Vice Ganda schooled him and the madlang people how to party like a pro by teaching a few, minimal dance steps that everyone could use on their next trip to the club.

Just last year during It’s Showtime’s 8th anniversary celebration, she exhibited her glamorous side as she got jazzed up sporting a classic bob hair with bangs and glittery skimpy outfits on their magical vaudeville-inspired entry for Magpasikat.

Of course, when the “Taga-Saan Ka” dance craze arose in the last part of 2017, she was not spared from responding to the tricky question since she’s a regular. She tried to hide from the madlang people’s clamor, but gave in in the end.

In everyone’s astonishment, she incorporated isolation in her steps.

At age 48, Tiyang Amy proves that she knows and possesses the swag millennials have. From bopping to the hits of the yesteryears up to the modern beats, she amazingly slayed her production number with the Hashtags.

With birthday boy Hashtag Zeus Collins and GirlTrends Dawn Chang redoing their iconic sensual interpretation of Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” they did while inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, Billy Crawford challenged their very own dancing queen to take the place of Dawn (and called her as Dawn Tiyang Amy).

They were subsequently teamed up by Vhong Navarro and led the madlang people in grooving to “Dying Inside”.

Amy attests that age is just a number and it will never be too late to unleash the diva in you!

Catch Tiyang and the rest of the gang by watching It’s Showtime weekdays after Sana Dalawa ang Puso and Saturdays before Ipaglaban Mo.
