South Korean talent agency and music label The Black Label announced Tuesday that it would hold auditions in the Philippines in May, offering Filipinos another opportunity to break into the K-pop industry.

On its X account, the company, headed by famed producer Teddy Park, said it would hold a "global audition."

The post included a poster listing the audition locations, which span Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The Manila audition is scheduled for May 11, according to the global audition website.

Applicants can choose to audition for one category—vocal, rap, or dance—and must perform for one minute in their chosen category. Eligible applicants must be born between 2006 and 2015.

Interested applicants can pre-register via a Google Forms link available on the global audition website before the onsite audition.

The Black Label's roster includes BIGBANG's Taeyang, Blackpink's Rosé, Jeon Somi and the girl group MEOVV, among others.

K-pop agencies have been scouting for talents in the Philippines, including YG Entertainment, an associate company of The Black Label that has launched powerhouse acts such as BIGBANG, 2NE1 and Blackpink.

South Korean idol groups often feature foreign members, and in recent years, major entertainment agencies have increasingly recruited talents from Southeast Asia to strengthen their appeal in the region.
