EXO's Kai to hold solo concert in Manila

K-pop artist Kai of boy band EXO is set to visit the Philippines this July for his solo concert tour.

The 31-year-old singer and dancer's "KAION" tour was announced on Thursday through a post on EXO's X account, which revealed the tour's locations and dates.

The tour will commence in Seoul in May before heading to other Asian cities, including a show at the Araneta Coliseum on July 27, based on the post.

Ticket prices for the Manila concert have yet to be revealed, but local promoter PULP Live World urged fans in an X post to "stay tuned to our official [social media accounts] for more details."

The tour comes just months after Kai made his return to the entertainment scene following the completion of his mandatory military service in February.

Apart from Seoul and Manila, Kai will also perform in Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, Yokohama and Hong Kong.

Kai, whose real name is Kim Jong-in, debuted in 2012 as a member of EXO, one of K-pop's popular male acts whose notable singles include "Growl," "Ko Ko Bop" and "Love Shot."

In 2020, Kai launched a solo music career with a self-titled extended play (EP) and has since released two more EPs.
