Kapamilya singer Lyka Estrella expressed her gratitude to her fans after successfully holding her first-ever solo concert at the Music Museum in San Juan City last December 20. The Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 6 Grand Champion poured her heart out while she performed some of the songs that helped her achieve her dream.

Fans of the singer-songwriter were in for a treat as she gave them a performance they would never forget.

Lyka opened the show with a medley of the songs by English singer-songwriter Jessie J. She then sang “Ngayon Alam Ko Na” and the hit High Street OST “Ano? Bakit? Paano?” to the delight of the crowd.

“Magandang gabi Music Museum! Thank you so much for spending your Friday night with me. Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang nararamdaman ko ngayon na nandito kayo lahat sa harap ko at sumusuporta sa isang bagay na pinakamamahal kong gawin,” she expressed.

She then expressed how blessed she felt as she couldn’t believe that she was able to hold a solo concert already despite how relatively new she was in the music industry.

“Akala ko sa panaginip lang dati–– akala ko hindi ito mangyayari. Pero, ito na reality na. Grabe na talaga,” she added.

She then surprised her fans with an unreleased single titled “Hay Langga”. The song’s melody and beat is different from what she usually releases, but is the perfect track for lovers.

“Iba po to sa usual na mapanakit na song na ginagawa ko, at feeling ko nailabas ko dito yung totoong ako. Ito po ay isang nakakakilig na kanta para sa mga in love diyan,” she teased.

Lyka continued to sing renditions of other artists’ songs which she explained helped her discover her own voice in the industry. She also gave a dramatic rendition of Sharon Cuneta’s “Bituing Walang Ningning”.

To show her gratitude to everyone who believed in her since the beginning, the singer-songwriter sang “Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan”. She even went down the stage to sing directly in front of her mother, who was present to watch her first solo concert.

Apart from the heavy-themed songs, Lyka made sure to let everyone feel the Christmas spirit as she sang several holiday songs such as “Silent Night” and “Joy To The World”.

Lyka’s first-ever solo concert not only showcased her vocal prowess but narrated a story of her determination to become one of the country’s greatest singers to ever be discovered.
