"Good Boy," a sports and action K-drama starring Park Bo-gum, will be made available to Filipino audiences through Prime Video starting May 31, the streaming platform announced Monday.

The series follows a group of former athletes who become police officers who seek to take down the forces behind a large crime group, Prime Video said in a press release.

Fresh off the success of "When Life Gives You Tangerines," Park Bo-gum returns to the screen as Yun Dong-ju, a once-promising boxer whose career is abruptly derailed after being unfairly removed from his team.

Dong-ju's life takes an unexpected turn when he seizes the opportunity to join the police force. However, his journey as a policeman does not turn out to be as smooth as his days in the ring.

As he faces the challenges of his new career, Dong-ju crosses paths with Ji Han-na, a former shooting prodigy turned police officer portrayed by Kim So-hyun, known for her roles in the dramas "The Tale of Nokdu" and "Love Alarm."

Lee Sang-yi, whose past series include "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" and "No Gain No Love," also joins the show as Kim Jong-hyeon, a former fencer and Han-na's ex-boyfriend.

Rounding out the main cast are Heo Sung-tae ("Squid Game") as Ko Man-sik, a former wrestler who now leads the police unit, and Tae Won-seok as Shin Jae-hong, an ex-discus thrower.

"Good Boy" is directed by Shim Na-yeon, whose past works include "Beyond Evil" and "The Good Bad Mother."
