Comedian Alex Calleja took to social media to express his gratitude as his stand-up comedy special Tamang Panahon landed the No. 1 spot on the "Top 10 TV Shows" of Netflix Philippines.

"Nagising ako na Number 1 na ang stand-up comedy special ko sa Netflix! Tayo po ang FIRST Stand-up Comedy special featuring a pure Pinoy stand-up comedian na nag Number 1 sa Netflix," he posted on social media platform X.

Alex then thanked his team who helped him fulfill this dream.

"Sobrang tuwa ko dahil nagbunga ang pinaghirapan ko kasama ang mga kapwa ko comedians sa The Comedy Crew.  Salamat sa lahat ng tao na tumulong para mabuo itong pangarap ko!!!" he said.

The comedian added: "Tamang Panahon talaga!!! Maraming maraming salamat po talaga!"

Fans online were quick to congratulate Alex.

"You are so funny! Love your Netflix show! More to come," one fan commented.

"I watched it and i really enjoyed it!" another fan wrote.

In an interview back in January, Alex shared what to expect in his stand-up show on Netflix.

"The usual stand-up ko, tawag lang sa akin mainstream kasi very relatable 'yung jokes ko. Ang lagi kong tina-topic 'yung madali lang i-absorb kasi naniniwala ako na 'yung stand-up namin parang nanliligaw pa lang kami sa Filipino audience," he relayed.

The comedian added: "Kaya as much as possible, para mas madami akong ma-reach na audience, from all walks of life, ang topic ko lang very basic — butong pakwan, eye drops, lamay."

The special was filmed last year during his birthday, spanning two nights on October 4 and 5. Taking advice from industry experts, Alex wore the same outfit for both performances to maintain consistency.

"Sabi kasi, at least dalawa gawin mo, dalawang magkaparehong set para maganda 'yung material. And luckily, parehong maganda resulta ko noong October 4 and 5," he recalled.

Fresh off the release of Tamang Panahon, Alex is set to have an international tour which includes the US on April 4 to April 13 and Canada on May 23 to June 8.

Dates for UAE, Australia, and New Zealand are yet to be announced.
