The two idols-turned-actors are set to lead the cast of the series with the working title "The First Night With the Duke," Korean entertainment news portal Soompi reported Thursday.

The series is reportedly about a college student, who finds her soul mysteriously transported into a minor character from a romance novel and ends up spending the night with the story's male lead.

Seohyun is set to portray the minor character who becomes possessed by a college student, while Taecyeon will take on the role of the novel's  male lead, based on the Soompi article.

Seohyun — whose real name is Seo Ju-hyun — debuted in 2007 as a member of the hitmaking group Girls' Generation before venturing into acting, starring in series such as "Private Lives" and "Song of the Bandits" as well as the romantic comedy film "Love and Leashes."

Meanwhile, the artist born Ok Taec-yeon started his career in 2008 as a member of the boy band 2PM before transitioning to acting. He has since appeared in several popular dramas, including "Dream High," "Secret Royal Inspector & Joy," "Vincenzo," and "Heartbeat."

This drama will not mark the first time members of the two groups have worked together. In 2023, Girls' Generation's Yoona and 2PM's Junho starred together in the hit romance series "King the Land."
