PH's Jasmin Ariola wins Miss Deaf Universe 2024

MANILA -- Filipina bet Jasmin Ariola was crowned as Miss Deaf Universe 2024, while the Philippines' Arjay Lopez was hailed Mister Deaf Universe 2024 first runner-up.

The Miss + Mister Deaf Universe 2024's final competition and coronation night happened in Warsaw, Poland last November 30.

Ariola won the title against 19 contestants from various parts of the world, while Lopez was a runner-up to Poland's Kryztof, who took home the Mister Deaf Universe 2024 title.

In the final round, Ariola wowed the audience with her answer to the question, "If you won the crown what will you do for a year?"

"I would want to support Mister and Miss Deaf Universe in the future so deaf  people could have a better prospect of life and to show, make recognition of disabled people and deaf people even more visible," Ariola said using sign language.

Meanwhile, for the final question, Lopez was asked: "What would you do if you won 10 million euros?" 

"I would give it to  Miss + Mr. Deaf Universe to help develop the image and to help deaf (people) in the entire world so we can grow as universe community," Lopez said using sign language.
