Filipino Broadway star Lea Salonga participated in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

Lea performed "Sing" aboard the float of Sesame Street together with the cast of the show during the parade.

"No, it wasn’t a sunny day, and it would’ve been great if the clouds were swept away, but today’s @macys Thanksgiving Day Parade was still such a wonderful highlight!" the singer posted on her Instagram page.

The Tony Award-winning singer expressed her gratitude to Sesame Street for making her part of the show's float. 

"Thank you, @sesamestreet, this was truly very special, and thank you for plastering the biggest smile on my child’s face. Nic (Lea's daughter) will not be able to erase that smile for a while!"  she said.

Friends and fans of Lea were quick to express their happiness and excitement for Lea's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade experience.

"So cool! A childhood dream!!!! ❤️" Anne Curtis commented.

"Saw you this morning on TV with Big Bird and the muppets 😍 It's a dream! I just post all the cuteness here in my insta too. Happy Thanksgiving! Love you ❤️❤️❤️," another fan wrote.

"Oh… Sesame Street days & Lea Salonga?! What an awesome combo!" another fan said.

Lea previously made a guest appearance in Sesame Street back in 1993.

Lea was fresh from the success of the Manila leg of her Stage, Screen and Everything In Between concert. The show ran from November 4 to 7.

Following the conclusion of the three-day concert, Lea penned a message for her Filipino fans for supporting her show.

"Oh Manila, thank you! Thank you for being so generous with us during Stage, Screen and Everything In Between at @solaireresort!!"

She also expressed her gratitude to the musicians and the entire team behind the show.

Prior to her concert, Lea starred in the stage play Request Sa Radyo which ran from October 10 to 20 in Manila.
