Known in showbiz as a party and events host, to his friends, Tim Yap is also a longtime animal lover who is also a devoted fur daddy to both cats and dogs. Last May 27, Tim revealed the latest addition to his furry family in his Instagram account. The snapshots showed him posing with an adorable golden retriever puppy named Stella.

In the post, Tim revealed that his new pet was a gift from celebrity wildlife veterinarian Neilseon Donato, who is one of his neighbors. He wrote, “My whole household said we can’t afford to have any more furbabies in the house so when this one came to my home, I had to make a stand with them and be firm with my decisions. Meet my new baby girl Stella. She came into my life a few weeks ago from my dear neighbor doc @nielsendonato who knows of my heart’s fervent desire to bond with a golden. I’ve always been amazed at how smart they are (I once brought a neighbor’s puppy in to show him my other pets and he would knock every day, no fail—at my place, wanting to play) and I never thought I would be a parent to one, until that day Stella came home to me.”

Before ending his post, Tim asked advice from his followers on what his next step should be to make his furbaby happy. He added, “At first I didn’t want to get too attached but now it’s too late as Stella is the most affectionate, most alert and active in the Yap household. What should I do next? Put her to school for training? Set up her account? Teach her tricks? Any tips on the best care for Stella would be appreciated. But for now, meet Stella!!!! ♥️♥️♥️”

In a 2018 interview with Philippine Star, Tim shared details of the home he shares with his husband Javi Martinez Pardo and their four pets which includes their two dogs Gigi and Panda, a rescued puspin named Pringles, and another cat named Valentinno. “When picking a pet, I make sure to host a getting-to-know-you among the new one and the older pets. I want all of us in my home to live in harmony — this way positive vibes rule my home.  I love all my pets and each one of them is special in their own way. Gigi is the pretty one and the most loving. Panda is hyper. Valentinno is affectionate and Pringles is naughty.”
