Celebrity mom Elisse Joson wants her daughter Felize to see the value of meditation at an early age.  

In an Instagram post on Thursday, May 1, Elisse shared their unique mother-and-daughter bonding, as she taught her four-year-old child some breathing exercises.

“How we're learning to self-regulate our emotions together,” she wrote in the caption.  

“Took me 29 years to start seeing the importance of meditating so hopefully Felize gets an early practice while growing up,” she added.  

In the nearly two-minute video, the actress was passionately explaining to her daughter the importance of meditation, emphasizing that it is necessary especially when getting overwhelmed by emotions.  

“So today, I’m going to teach you how to meditate,” she said. “Meditate means you learn how to [breathe]. And you use breathing for what? When you are full of emotions.”

At a young age, Felize already had an idea about what meditation means, sharing with her mother what was inside her mind.  

“When I’m angry, sad, and you say ‘ate Mierve,’ and I cry,” Felize, in her cute and soft voice, responded when asked by her mother what was breathing for.  

In the same video, the actress patiently demonstrated the step-by-step process of performing breathing exercises.

“When we learn to breathe, we calm down,” she told her daughter. “So, you have your feet crisscrossed and then put these [hands] here [lap] and then close your eyes. Breathe in [through] your nose and breathe out [through] your mouth like you’re blowing out a candle.”

For Elisse, her daughter's participation in their simple breathing exercise session was already a proud moment. 

“I'm already so proud to see her participate in our first attempt of breathing exercises,” she expressed.  

“Let me know if you have tried this with your kids,” she said, addressing her fellow parents.

Elisse’s post gained positive reactions from some of her fellow artists in the showbiz industry. “I love this so much! Felize is blessed to have you as her mama @elissejosonn,” Iza Calzado wrote in the comment section.

Charlie Dizon also commented: “Love you Felize. Love you two.” 

Elisse and McCoy de Leon's on-screen partnership as the famous love team McLisse extended into real life. Their daughter Felize was born in 2021.
