As the world commemorates the unconditional love and illuminating light of mothers, Filipino celebrity dads took the chance to honor their loving wives on this special occasion.  

The following actors penned heartfelt messages for their partners on social media:  

Dingdong Dantes 

Actor-host Dingdong Dantes commemorated Mother’s Day with his celebrity wife Marian Rivera at home.  

In an Instagram post, Dingdong highlighted the actress’ act of service as a mother and partner.  

“Sa halip na siya ang pagsilbihan sa araw na ito, siya pa ang nagpumilit magluto ng paborito naming menudo,” he captioned his post. “Sino ba naman ang hindi mapapahinga nang malalim sa bango pa lang, sabay sabing, ‘Ay, eto na nga ang original ni Ingkang.” 

The actor-host revealed that their family missed his wife’s cooking, making the dish more special on Mother’s Day. 

“Ang tagal na naming hindi natikman ’to—kaya bawat halo niya sa kaldero, parang yakap na abot hanggang puso’t bituka mo,” said.  

Sharing some snaps of his wife and children, Dingdong penned a heartwarming message on the post.  

“Happy Mother’s Day sa reyna ng aming tahanan—kahit araw niya, inuuna pa rin kaming alagaan,” he wrote. “Pati tiyan namin, hindi nakaligtas sa lambing at halinghing ng kanyang lutuin.”  

John Prats 

Actor-director John Prats expressed his admiration for his wife Isabel Oli-Prats in an Instagram post, sharing some snaps from their simple family dinner.  

“Happy Mother’s Day sa pinakamamahal kong asawa,” he captioned his post. “Araw-araw akong humahanga sayo, sa pagmamahal mo, sa tiyaga mo, at sa paraan ng pag-aalaga mo sa ating pamilya. Ikaw ang puso ng tahanan natin, at ang pinaka-importanteng biyaya sa buhay ng mga anak natin.” 

In the same post, the actor-director also expressed his gratitude to Isabel, whom he called an “incredible mom and partner.” 

“Sobrang swerte namin na ikaw ang kasama namin sa journey ng buhay na ’to.Mahal na mahal kita, higit pa sa kayang sabihin ng kahit anong salita,” he wrote.  

John ended his post with a sweet message: “Enjoy your special day, you deserve all the love and happiness my Wifey @isabeloliprats.” 

 JC de Vera 

Actor JC de Vera also paid a Mother’s Day tribute to his wife Rikkah Cruz in an Instagram post, highlighting the multiple roles his wife plays in their family.  

“You’ve got 4 kids (yes, including me as the panganay), you’re still recovering from giving birth, running the whole household, managing the finances and a business like a total boss,” he captioned his post.  

For JC, his wife’s way of fulfilling her obligations was not multitasking, but “superhero behavior.” 

 He added: “You’re beautiful inside and out Rikk and we’re beyond blessed to have you!” 

JC concluded his tribute post with a heartwarming message: “Happy Mother’s Day to our one and only Wonder Woman! Love you always!” 

Billy Crawford 

Actor-singer Billy Crawford also honored his celebrity wife Coleen Garcia in an Instagram post on Mother’s Day.  

“@coleen You are a queen! The best mom ever,” Billy wrote in a short yet meaningful caption. 

“Amari and our new angel coming are very blessed to have a mommy like you. I love you,” he added.  

In the same post, the actor-singer also paid tribute to all mothers, including the important ones in his life. 

“Happy happy Mother’s Day to my wife, mom, mother-in-law and all the moms that have sacrificed everything,” he said.  

Dennis Trillo 

Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo also wrote a simple yet sweet Mother’s Day tribute to his wife, actress-singer Jennylyn Mercado, whom he described as their “Super Woman.” 

“Para sa aming Super Woman, isang pag pupugay sa’yo at sa lahat ng mga dakilang ina na kagaya mo,” Dennis wrote in the post’s caption.  

The actor also expressed his gratitude for his life-time partner: "Maraming Salamat sa lahat ng pag mamahal, pag aaruga at tiyaga. We love you."

“Happy Mother’s Day Mama Jen,” he concluded his post.
