Miriam Quiambao opened up about the faith-driven journey that led her to find love with inspirational speaker and author Ardy Roberto.

In an interview with Luchi Cruz-Valdes in her latest YouTube vlog, Miriam shared how their paths first crossed long before love was ever in the picture.

"I was briefly introduced to him a number of times before, but I was not yet Christian then. His wife was still alive during that time," she recalled.

Years later, after becoming a Christian, Miriam felt called to write a book about her personal journey of redemption and faith.

"People were inviting me to share my story, redemption story, sabi ko I don't know for how long I would get to go around and share my story, but I know that if I write a book, it is going to outlive me. It can be my legacy."

It was then that she came across a marketing email from Ardy's company promoting a workshop for aspiring authors.

"Sabi ko, I think this is the answer to my author dream. So I signed up for that. He was my mentor for three months, pero no attraction whatsoever. He was with his wife. They were in love," she recounted.

The next time Miriam heard about Ardy was a year later when she learned that his wife had passed away.

"I was invited to the wake, and my classmate and I were there, and I was just so amazed at how much love he had poured out to his wife when she was alive and he was always saying, 'I want to honor my wife.' I was so amazed with this kind of love. Sabi ko, 'Lord, I want a love like that. 'Yung love ang hiningi ko, hindi siya ang hiningi ko," she recalled.

Months later, Ardy reached out to Miriam and other former workshop students, fulfilling his late wife’s final wish to help them finish their books. This led to a series of meetings.

"Ang huling habilin pala ng wife is to contact the students so that they could finish the books, so I was one of those that Ardy contacted so with a couple more other classmates, we were meeting regularly," the former beauty queen shared.

One of the several occasions that Miriam and Ardy met again was during a discussion about real estate investments.

"Nagkamustahan kami... Sabi niya, 'Ito, I'm still healing but you know God always tells me that I will love again, that I will have another great love."

She recalled: "Tapos tanong niya sa akin, 'Di ba na-divorce ka? Para ka ring namatayan, di ba?' Sabi ko, 'Opo pero I always believe that God is preparing me for his best for me.' Tapos, sabi ko, 'I have to excuse myself kasi may meeting pa ako.' [Sabi niya], 'O, sige before you go, let me pray for you.'"

As her birthday approached, Miriam recalled that she had been praying to find the love of her life and during one quiet moment, she felt a name gently whispered in her heart.

"Three weeks before my birthday... my ninang, she surprised me with a birthday cake. I blew the candle [and said], 'I wish for a love life on my birthday' and then God surprised me. There was a whisper that came out of my heart and it's a name, the name is 'Ardy,' no kidding," she revealed.

"Finally, nung araw ng birthday ko sabi ko magvo-volunteer ako sa 700 Club bilang host... So live telecast 'yun tapos sabi nung director, 'Okay gap tayo ngayon, transfer to the fourth floor from the third floor. Take the elevator. Dun ang susunod nating segment.'"

It was then that Miriam ran into Ardy in the elevator.

The very next week, Ardy confessed his feelings for her.

"The following week, nag-text siya, nagyaya mag-date, nag-lay down ng intention. Tapos sabi ko, 'Teka, ipagpe-pray ko muna 'to.' Sabi ko, 'You're so brave, I appreciate that you're laying down your intentions na pero kailangan ko itong ipag-pray.'"

Before Miriam prayed on her own, Ardy offered to pray with Miriam over the phone. She described the moment as one filled with peace and divine confirmation.

"We prayed together on the phone and as we were praying, grabe 'yung pakiramdam na merong feeling of relief na hay salamat nagkita na kami, ganun ang pakiramdam. And I was just so amazed that there was just this overwhelming peace and relief, parang confirmation na nag-meet na kami," she stated.

Miriam and Ardy got married on March 15, 2014 in Cavite.

Last year, the couple had their renewal of vows.
