It’s been almost seven years since KC Concepcion first launched her handmade jewelry brand, Avec Moi by Kristina, which features her personal designs with an emphasis on Philippine craftsmanship. This year, KC revealed making a very special piece just for her mom Sharon Cuneta, as shared in her Instagram post last March 30.

In her post, KC shared details of the personalized necklace which features the Megastar’s classic signature. She wrote, “A major highlight of my whole year!!! 🙈 Mama wearing my designs 🥹 Designed this signature solid gold necklace just for @reallysharoncuneta , by yours truly ✍️ Her signature in 14k & 18k gold, set with natural diamonds and a pink sapphire heart ✨ A bespoke fine jewelry piece for the woman who’s marked my life with so much love and strength! Made with love, made to last… just like us/ I love you, Ma!”

Last year, Sharon had described her relationship with her eldest daughter as ‘estranged’ during the time when they both filed a cyberlibel suit against showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin. “Anuman ang problema namin ng panganay ko — kasi at this point we're estranged and I'm very, very hurt —there are things na tama na 'yun, there are things na amin na lang. Pagbalik-baliktarin man ang mundo, mahal mo 'yung anak mo eh, so tiis-tiis na lang bilang nanay pero darating sa point na ayaw mo na ring isiksik ang sarili ko sa 'kin. I'm tired," Sharon shared in a previous interview.

KC first studied at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) where she has received certificates in Jewelry Essentials, Diamond Essentials, and Colored Stone Essentials. In 2021, she shared in her vlog that she will be staying in the US to pursue further studies in Gemoology. KC also has a degree in International Communications from the American University of Paris which she received in 2007.
