As the third and youngest daughter of veteran actors Ricky Davao and Jackie Lou Blanco, it’s no surprise Ara Davao also inherited her parents’ acting genes. After making her debut onscreen playing the role of Katherine Caballero in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo last year, Ara takes on her second big screen project in director Joel Lamangan’s new film Fatherland which also stars Inigo Pascual, Angel Aquino, Allen Dizon, Richard Yap, and Cherry Pie Picache.

“Yung role ko po dito is named Janet. Girlfriend ako ng character ni Inigo na si Alex. Sinusuportahan ko siya sa goal niya na mahanap ‘yung tatay niya sa Pilipinas,” she said during the Fatherland presscon held last March 25 in Manila Hotel.

Coming from working on a television series, Ara admits that shooting for a film is still like a brand new experience for her. “Siguro for me, since baguhan pa lang ako — this is my second movie pa lang and then I had one teleserye — siguro iba lang process ng filming ng movie, but then for me, you will have to give your best with any role, and any taping day dapat 100%, or more than 100%.”

Inheriting her mom’s natural mestiza beauty, Ara shared how she keeps herself ready for the limelight. “So I’m talking now with my stylist, and siyempre trying to be healthy as usual, work out ng konti and treatment sa clinic like facial, and like mga body ano, pampa-contour ng konti pag may event. Sa food kasi, I don’t really deprive myself, basta discipline and balance, like now nag-buffet tayo, work out na lang after,” she added.
