After recently being hailed as Best Actress at the 10th Southeast Asian Achievement Awards for her film Balota, actress Marian Rivera said that she couldn’t feel more thankful, especially with all the blessings in her life this year.

“Na-o-overwhelm ako kasi last year natapos na pero parang itong taon na pumapasok ay meron pang dumadagdag ang mga recognition. Palagi ko namang sinasabi na what you see is what you get (sa akin). At ang maganda diyan yung pinaniniwalaan ko talaga yung mga ini-endorso ko,” she shared during her launch as the new ambassador of Palawan Pawnshop held in Makati City earlier this month.

As part of the local pawnshop chain’s new campaign, Marian shared her experience shooting one of their commercials which included her beloved grandmother. As a self-proclaimed lola’s girl, Marian said she was surprised at how easy it was for them to convince her lola Iska to be part of the shoot. Aware siya!" she admitted.

Marian said that she plans to give her loved one an unforgettable celebration next year for reaching a big milestone. “Next year sabi ko nga sa kanya, we will celebrate kasi 95 na siya. Healthy living eh. So alam mo yung very active talaga. Nag-ja-jogging every morning,” she added.

The Balota star said that her lola is just one of the many women she admires in her life everyday.

During the press conference, Marian also shared how her mother and grandmother helped guide on how to handle her finances growing up.

So may ganun talaga akong proseso.

So mapalad ako na merong mga nakapalibot sa akin na ginagabayan ako on how to manage my money talaga,” she explained.
