Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto recently opened up about her deep and long-standing devotion to the Jesus Nazareno.

In an interview with Maricel Soriano in her latest YouTube vlog, Angeline recalled how her journey as a devotee began at the age of seven.

"Yung pagiging deboto ko po sa Nazareno nag-start po siya sobrang bata pa po ako eh, parang mga seven years old. Seven years old po kasi ako, si Mama Bob po at 'yung mga kapitbahay namin sa Sampaloc kung saan ako lumaki, talagang every year 'pag January 9, pumupunta po kami sa Quiapo ng nakapaa, naglalakad kami, sumasabay sa prosesyon," she recalled.

"So nung kabataan ko po, 'yun po 'yung palagi kong naaalala: 'pag January 9 kailangan nasa Quiapo ako," she added.

As her Mama Bob grew older and could no longer join the procession, Angeline continued the tradition with her neighbors.

One of Angeline's prayers was for a steady singing career, not just for herself but also to support her family financially.

However, she faced obstacles early on. Being underage, she was not accepted to perform in hotel lounges, which led her to another path: joining singing contests.

From those humble beginnings, Angeline eventually rose to fame after winning the talent competition Star Power in 2011.
