Kapamilya actress Maymay Entrata expressed her deep gratitude to the people she worked with on her new single, "Paradise."

During Avon’s Ultra Lipstick make-up masterclass event, Maymay shared her appreciation for the trust she received from both local and international writers and producers involved in her new songs.

“I will give the credit po to people who made Paradise,” Maymay humbly told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview.

“Ako po na naging parte ng project na ito, sobra po akong blessed kasi I know these people are very talented po talaga, and for them to share din po ‘yung talent sa akin, I felt more trusted,” she added.

Maymay invited everyone to listen to her new song, emphasizing that it offers something fresh and different.

“Kung maririnig mo yung ‘Paradise’ na sobrang it’s something na beautiful and peaceful, pero ‘yung song very opposite po,” she teased.

In February, Maymay released "Paradise," a single composed by Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Allen alongside ASCAP London Music Awards-winning songwriter Boy Matthews. The song was also produced and co-written by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Tommy Brown and Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Lostboy.

“This is very surreal, guys. And very pressured kasi zero (pa ‘yung experience ko). Never pa ako nakakacompose with other people,” Maymay said of her experience being part of a music camp with renowned composers and producers.

“Si Ms Amy Allen has worked with Sabrina Carpenter, tapos siya rin nag-compose for ‘Paradise’. Sobrang blessed ko na binigyan pa nila ako ng iba pang songs, other than 'Amakabogera' English version, kasama na rin iyong 'Paradise' and others,” Maymay said.

Reflecting on her experience, Maymay shared valuable lessons she learned from working with award-winning music artists.

“Isa sa mga natutunan ko na kapag feeling mo na hindi mo matapos-tapos ang first verse, ‘wag mo na ituloy kasi anything that you force, hindi maganda ang resulta,” Maymay shared.

She also teased her upcoming extended play (EP) album, set for release soon.

“We’ve done it po two years ago. Hindi lang ‘Paradise’ yung nagawa namin kung hindi buong EP. May upcoming EP po ako this year,” Maymay said.

“May isang kanta po ako na very empowering po and nakatulong din po sa akin to cope with pain in the right way,” she revealed.

Maymay rose to fame as the Big Winner of the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 in 2016.

With a new season of the popular show now airing, Maymay shared some advice for the celebrity housemates of PBB Collab Celebrity Edition. Maymay also expressed being open to the idea of being a celebrity house guest if the opportunity arises.

“Magpakatotoo as long as wala kang tinatapakan na tao,” Maymay said.

She went on: “Always think many times before you say something especially kapag galit ka na lalo kapag inside the house. Mahirap i-control din lalo na ‘pag naiinis ka na kasi wala naman other distractions dahil kayo kayo lang.”

“May mga times na ma-trigger ‘yung emotions, kaya hopefully kapag umabot sa emosyon na ganoon, they always choose to do what is right.”
