Singer-songwriter KZ Tandingan had nothing but heartfelt words for her husband, TJ Monterde, during the final night of his Sarili Nating Mundo concert.

Following TJ’s performance of "Palagi," KZ took a moment to express her gratitude to his fans and supporters for helping him achieve his dreams.

“Unang-una po sa lahat, gustong gusto ko po kayo pasalamatan kayong lahat,” KZ expressed.

“Maraming maraming salamat po for choosing to be with TJ these past few days. Hindi po kayo mali ng sinusuportahan,” the “Toyo” singer added.

KZ went on to praise her husband’s authenticity, both on and off the stage.

“Kung paano po siya ka generous onstage, sa puso niya, kung gaano siya magkuwento sa inyo, kung paano siya maginspire and magenourage sa inyo, ganoon na ganoon din siya offstage,” the singer described her husband.

The “Toyo” singer also expressed her joy in witnessing TJ’s milestones up close.

“This person is an example of God’s testimony na He is the God of everything na kaya Niyang i-compress ang time, na kaya Niyang ibigay lahat ng mga pangarap mo sa isang (snap) lang,” KZ said.

“Sobra akong grateful na I got to witness that every single day for the rest of our lives,” she added.

After more than a decade in the music industry, TJ successfully staged his first solo concert in 2024. His song “Palagi” reached an impressive 1 billion streams on Spotify and was named the No. 1 song in the Philippines for 2024 by Billboard Philippines.

With his inspiring journey of patience, perseverance, and dedication, TJ became a source of inspiration for KZ.

“Aside from being a great artist, singer, songwriter, head of his own label, husband, dada of our dogs, son, son in law, brother, TJ is my inspiration kasi as an artist I also feel like I’m in my season of waiting,” KZ admitted.

KZ couldn’t help but become emotional as she opened up about her own struggles as a musician and how TJ’s journey has motivated her.

“Sometimes I feel like I just want to throw in the towel and give up on music and everything but every time I wake up in the morning and I look to my left, I see this man,” she expressed.

“It was my reminder that a few years ago, he was ready to give up but he chose to fight and in less than a year, he is now one of the most streamed artists in the Philippines, he is now the first male solo act to sell out Araneta Coliseum in three nights,” KZ continued.

She then extended her gratitude to her husband, saying, “On behalf of all of us and everybody watching, thank you for reminding us that dreams do come true.”

“I love you so much. Wala ka na magagawa. I never imagined that I could love you even more after ten years of being together and I’m excited to share 10 more lifetimes with you. I love you, my Palagi,” KZ added.

Meanwhile, TJ also expressed his deep appreciation for KZ, acknowledging her as his inspiration.

“Ang aking Palagi, KZ, I love you. Kaya nandito ito because you gave me inspiration to write those songs,” TJ said.
