Another pageant veteran is eyeing the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 crown. 

Former Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez is set to represent Sultan Kudarat in this year's edition of the pageant, as announced on Wednesday.

"Hello, U! Excited to share that I am officially your Miss Universe Philippines - Sultan Kudarat!" she said in an Instagram post. "Grateful for this incredible journey, taking another leap of faith for all of you who have always believed in me."

"A heartfelt thank you to my province, Sultan Kudarat, for this chance and trust," she added. "Together, let us embrace the universe!"

In this year's Miss Universe Philippines competition, Fernandez is set to go head-to-head with the likes of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez and Miss Earth Air 2023 Yllana Aduana. 

She is known among pageant fans for representing the Philippines in the Miss Globe 2022 pageant in Albania, where she finished as a Top 15 semi-finalist. 

Fernandez also placed as a runner-up in Miss Philippines Earth 2019 as Miss Philippines Water, and won the Miss Bikini Philippines crown in 2021.
