Nic made his professional debut in Atlantis Production’s Matilda back in 2017 and is now ready to show his musical prowess once more to the Philippine audience this year.

The Stephen Sondheim musical will be staged in August this year at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Makati. Nic will be joining his mother, Lea, who plays the role of the witch, which she had already played back in the 90’s.

“It’s very exciting, as well as exhausting. Sondheim is no joke! Learning the material before day one of rehearsals takes a few weeks because his patterns can be puzzling and challenging, but so rewarding once it all comes together. It’s also cool that I get to revisit a role that I played as a younger adult,” Lea said.

Into The Woods boasts of a talented cast as Eugene Domingo (playing the role of Jack’s mother), Arielle Jacobs (portraying Cinderella), Joaquin Pedro Valdez (playing Cinderella’s Prince and Wolf), and couple Nyoy Volante and Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante, among others, are all set to show their musicality in the much-awaited musical.
