The mother of Barbie Forteza posted a cryptic social media message just hours after the actress confirmed her breakup with long-time boyfriend Jak Roberto, leaving netizens intrigued.

On Instagram Stories, Forteza's mother Amy shared a quote which read: "No one knows how much you went through this year, but you stayed strong and didn't quit. I'm so proud of you."

In the now-expired post, a screenshot of which was shared by the entertainment website Pep, Forteza's mom crossed out the last two letters in the word "didn't," seemingly stating that the person she is referring to did quit.

Forteza took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal her split with Roberto after seven years. The two were considered one of the power couples in local showbiz.

She did not disclose the reason behind their separation but it was a "beautiful goodbye" for both of them.

But the January 1 post of Forteza's sister Gabrielle left many of the actress' fans curious, especially after the breakup announcement.

On X, Gabrielle shared a photo of Barbie with the caption, "Gusto ko happy ka."

To which the actress simply replied: "Hahahahahaha!"

Roberto has yet to post a statement about the end of his relationship with Forteza as of writing.
