BTS member Kim Taehyung aka V surprised his fans with a new social media post.

On his Weverse account, the singer shared snapshots of himself in his military uniform.

He also penned a message for his fans saying, "Are you doing well? Did you see the snow? It's the beginning of winter."

Aside from the surprise message, V had another treat for his fans recently with the release of his new single "Winter Ahead" with Park Hyo Shin on November 29.

"A jazz-pop duet that V and Park have carefully collaborated on over a long time reflects both of their tastes," BigHit Music said in a press release as reported by The Korea Times.

"Their soft and gentle vocal colors will convey warmth to listeners," the agency added.

A music video for the track was dropped on the same day. Fans online were quick to react to the video.

"It was like a movie with Taehyung's heavenly voice," one fan commented.

"Christmas isn't complete without hearing Taehyung's comforting and angelic voice," another fan wrote.

"This is so V. Cozy, jazzy vibes, vintage, romantic. Love it!" another fan said.

The song landed the No. 1 spot on iTunes Songs charts in at least 75 countries as of 6am on November 30.

V is also set to unveil a special remix of the timeless Christmas classic, "White Christmas," on December 6. The track will combine V's vocals with a restored recording of one of Bing Crosby's iconic archival performances.

"I’m so grateful to have had the chance to be featured in a song with my all-time favorite jazz artist, Bing Crosby," V said in a previous statement as reported by Billboard.

"I grew up listening to his song ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time’ countless times a day, and I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to have sung along on ‘White Christmas’ with the voice of someone I consider an idol," he added.
