MANILA -- Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil opened up about his relationship with Liza Soberano as he guested on "Magandang Buhay" on Monday, February 12.

"I am happy. I am at peace. I am happy. Me, I'm focusing on this. Liza is also focusing on her own production company, on her own projects. So I am just really happy that we're both focused on ourselves first because we were so caught up on the two of us so much. So parang we talked na, I think it's good for us to go on our own path in our career, just to be able to grow. It's really exciting for me right now what we're going to be doing and giving to the industry," Gil said.

Last year, talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed that Gil and Soberano have already ended their relationship but the actor asserted in July 2023 that they are still doing well.

What’s important, Gil said at the time, is that they remain happy and supportive of each other.

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News on his Valentine's Day plans, Gil said he hopes to spend the day with two special ladies in his life — his mother and, if possible, Soberano.

Last month, Gil also assured Soberano that he'll always have her back as he greeted the actress on her birthday.
