MANILA -- Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo seems to getting more in touch with her Filipino heritage, thanks to her recently concluded "GUTS" tour.

In a guest appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Rodrigo expressed how special it was to be in the Philippines for the first time for her concert.

"Oh, it was so much fun. You know I got to go to so many places I'd never been to before. I got to go to the Philippines recently, which is really cool," the singer said.

"I'm Filipino and I'd never been (the the country) ... it was so special and everyone was so great," she added.

She also shared how the crowd was "on pitch" while jamming to her songs.

"Such good singers. Like, there's a rumor that they're like they're really good at karaoke. And everyone in the arena they were like singing in harmony," Rodrigo said.

"It was insane. They were singing my lyrics back to me. Perfectly on pitch, perfectly on key. It was awesome. Yeah, they were great," she added.

Recalling her fall during the Australian leg of concert, Rodrigo shared how the attending nurse was Filipino and of the same name as her departed grandfather, reminding her that he is watching over her.

"I was thinking about my family and my heritage and my relatives. I fell and I was like all shaken up and I went to the hospital after. Nothing happened, but they just wanted to make sure I didn't have a concussion," the singer said.

"Randomly, the nurse was a Filipino man with the same name as my grandpa who just passed away a few months ago. I was like, wow, that was him looking out for me, making sure I didn't get hurt, and so I'm really happy it happened," she added.

The concert film of Rodrigo's "GUTS" tour is now streaming on Netflix.
