Rosé's 'APT.' gets highest Billboard Hot 100 rank for female K-pop artist

On X, Billboard announced that "APT.", a collaboration with Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars, entered the top 10 of the chart, which ranks "the most popular current songs across all genres" in the United States.

"Rosé becomes the first female K-pop artist in history to earn a top 10 hit on the #Hot100, thanks to 'APT.' with @BrunoMars," Billboard wrote in a separate X post.

Apart from the Hot 100, "APT." also topped the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, according to the music magazine.

"Oh my gosh! What is happening? This is crazy," the 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Roseanne Park, said in an Instagram post about her Hot 100 feat.

"Thank you so much number ones, Blinks (Blackpink fans), everyone. This one's for you. This is my dream come true," she added.

Released on October 18, "APT." is a song inspired by a popular Korean drinking game that has since sparked a viral TikTok challenge. 

The song serves as a single from Rosé's album "rosie," which will be released on December 6.
