MANILA - ABS-CBN is still the most watched television network in the country for September, maintaining its huge lead over its closest rival.

The Kapamilya station kept its leadership in terms of nationwide television viewership last month with an average audience share of 46 percent, 12 percentage points higher than GMA Network's 34 percent.

This is according to data from Kantar Media, which uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes to represent 100 percent of the country's television viewing population.

The police drama "Ang Probinsyano," which stars actor Coco Martin, once again led the way for the Kapamilya network. The hit primetime series received 39.2 percent while its rival show, the rebooted fantaserye "Encantadia," only got 23 percent, good for ninth place.

The drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya" (31.8 percent), weekend sitcom "Home Sweetie Home" (28.5 percent), and the Jericho Rosales-starrer "Magpahanggang Wakas" completed the list of the top eight most watched shows for the month.

ABS-CBN also led the morning block with 41 percent, noontime with 45 percent, and afternoon with 46 percent. It was also the most watched network in Metro Manila (37 percent), Luzon (41 percent), Visayas (55 percent), and Mindanao (58 percent), according to Kantar Media.
