MANILA -- Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber donned matching ensembles for the ABS-CBN Ball 2019, Saturday, drawing inspiration from the centuries-old Manila Cathedral in Intramuros.

Entrata paired her turtleneck Filipinana gown with a red floral headpiece and a pair of chandelier earrings.

Barber's garb was reminiscent of a Spanish-era soldier's uniform with intricate shoulder details breaking the suit's monotony.

Barbers, who was raised in Europe, said he looked forward to wearing the modern Filipiniana suit as soon as he saw the design.

The two stars' beige and bronze outfits were designed by Furne Amato, a Filipino creative based in the Middle East, who has also crafted pieces for international celebrities Beyonce, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Shakira and Nicole Scherzinger.
