She's been accused as the reason behind the surprise exit of her son, child actor Xymon Pineda, more fondly known as Onyok, from "Ang Probinsyano."

But Mary Ann Nulos, Xymon's mother, vehemently denied the rumors, maintaining that her son left the show to focus on his studies.

Speaking with Pep this week, Nulos said: "Nag-decide po muna kami na magpahinga muna siya.

The primetime series said goodbye to Pineda, who quickly became a fan favorite portraying the stubborn yet adorable Onyok, last May. The canon story was that Onyok's real mother took him back.

The suddenness of the decision to write off Onyok led to speculations, some saying that the show's crew and Xymon's mother had a falling out because of "attitude" problems.

In the same interview with Pep, Nulos dismissed this by saying that her son parted with "Ang Probinsyano" in good terms.

But Nulos did admit to feeling a tinge of regret from her decision to pull her son from the serye.

She added the show is open to having Xymon make a guest appearance in future episodes.

Xymon is part of Martin's entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival," the remake of "Ang Panday."
