Actress Almira Muhlach and former PBA star Bong Alvarez were proud parents as they witnessed their daughter Illa graduate from De La Salle University.

Although the two are estranged, both Muhlach and Alvarez made sure they were present at their daughter’s graduation at the Philippine International Convention Center on Saturday.

In a lengthy post on Instaram, Muhlach expressed how proud she is of her daughter even if she couldn’t be by her side all the time because she had to “work and attend to so many things as a single mom.”

“I thank God each day that I have the best daughters a mother can ask for. Daughters who are very responsible, humble, hardworking and respectful,” Muhlach said.

Alvarez, for his part, also congratulated Illa for her accomplishment.

“Congratulations to my 2nd daughter Illa. Isa na lang tapos na ang tatlong maria ko. SALAMAT SA DIYOS!!” he wrote on Instagram.

Illa graduated with a degree in Psychology. According to Muhlach, her daughter intends to take up further studies to become a doctor someday.
