He confronted his girlfriend with the evidence. “‘Ano ‘to?’ sabi ko. ‘Sana masaya ka,’ sabi ko sa kanya. ‘Sana masaya ka sa ginawa mo sa ‘kin.’ Tapos umalis ako,” Perez narrated.

He surmised that his ex-girlfriend had grown disappointed with his tendency to prioritize his friends to his studies, but even then, Perez insisted, cheating should have never been an option.
“Kung mangangako kayo sa isa’t-isa, gawin mo hangga’t kayo mo. Huwag mong bibitawan. Dumating din sa point na nanghinayang ako. ‘Okay na ‘yun,’ sabi kong ganu’n. Kung nagawa niya noong una, baka gawin niya ulit,” he said.
He surmised that his ex-girlfriend had grown disappointed with his tendency to prioritize his friends to his studies, but even then, Perez insisted, cheating should have never been an option.
