MANILA -- Regine Velasquez received an early Mother's Day surprise from her husband Ogie Alcasid.

In a video clip posted on Instagram, Velasquez is seen wiping her tears while cuddling a puppy.

"Thank you, honey," Velasquez told Alcasid.

Velasquez said the puppy's name is Chanel.

Just last week, Velasquez lost her long-time pet dog George.
