Early reactions to the Gerald Anderson and Pia Wurtzbach-starrer "My Perfect You" have started pouring in following its nationwide release Wednesday, and if they're an accurate indication, viewers are in for a rollercoaster ride when it comes to the plot.

Based on its trailer, the Cathy Garcia-Molina film centers on Burn (Anderson), a broken-hearted man looking to start over, and Abi (Wurtzbach), a hostel owner whom he meets while on vacation.

While Burn initially becomes exasperated by Abi's ubiquitous presence — she's also the establishment's waitress, cook, janitress, receptionist and manager — romance eventually blooms between the two strangers.

Certainly, these glimpses make it appear "My Perfect You" has the ingredients of a sure-hit romantic-comedy, but reactions of the film's first batch of viewers are already pointing out a "big plot twist" that adds spice to what initially appears as a run-of-the-mill "kilig" flick.

Several tweets praised the plot's unexpected turn, with a number asking fellow fans to be sure not to spoil the twist for those still yet to watch the Star Cinema production.

These favorable reactions to "My Perfect You" appear to have translated to its box-office take, having raked in P10 million on its first day in theaters.

"My Perfect You" is a project of several firsts. It marks Wurtzbach's first solo romantic movie after her Miss Universe win, and her first time to work with both Anderson and director Molina.

MANILA -- Irish rock band The Script surprised their Filipino fans with a public performance.

A video released by The Script via its social media accounts on Friday showed its frontman Danny O'Donoghue busking as Filipino fans sang along.

O'Donoghue belted out the hit "The Man Who Can't Be Moved."

"Manila, Busking in the streets with you singing every word back was unreal. Big love to everyone who showed up, what a night!" the post read.
