As it turned out, it was nothing but a prop that could've cost him his place in the next round, with the "Pilipinas Got Talent" judges noting that it only served to distract them from his highly emotional and captivating cover of Freddie Aguilar's "Anak."

Baselotte said he joined the contest hoping to have some money to pay for his electric bills. He also said that his dream is to become a famous singer on television.
