MANILA—Armi Millare, lead vocalist of UDD and the composer behind the ubiquitous “Tadhana,” is set to release a new song for the upcoming romance-drama film “Alone/Together.”

The collaboration was announced Wednesday by filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone, who wrote and directed the Black Sheep film starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.

“New song from Armi Millare for Alone/Together!” she tweeted with heart emojis, tagging Millare’s account.

The highly anticipated “Alone/Together,” scheduled to hit cinemas on February 13, follows the love story of college sweethearts Raf (Gil) and Christine (Soberano), who cross paths again eight years after they first met.

Its teaser features Rivermaya’s “214,” with a fresh interpretation by JM de Guzman. On Twitter, Jadaone teased Eraserheads will also be part of the film’s soundtrack.

“Alone/Together” will not be the first time Jadaone is including a Millare or UDD song in her movie. Jadaone’s breakout film “That Thing Called Tadhana” fittingly featured “Tadhana” in its closing minutes.

“Parang ginawa ‘yung kanta para sa pelikula. Parang commissioned song. Ganun ka-swak. Parang tinadhana,” Jadaone was quoted as saying by CNN Life, recalling how she had especially intended the film to end with the tune.

UDD, formerly known as Up Dharma Down, surprised fans at the start of the year with the release of three new song from their upcoming fourth album.

One of the tracks, “Anino,” was similarly featured in the romance film “Kung Paano Siya Nawala” about face blindness, starring JM de Guzman and Rhian Ramos.
