It was the kind of afternoon many would only dream of having to start off a brand new year — surrounded by friends and family, exchanging wedding vows with the love of your life.

There have been plenty of photos doing the rounds on social media leading up to the Saturday wedding of Camille Prats and her fiance, businessman John Yambao, with guests sharing their snaps using the hashtag "YambaosTakeVows". But none managed to quite capture the couple's happiness than one of the pictures Prats and Yambao snapped after sharing their first kiss as a married couple.

It all turned out rather picturesque. Held at a resort in Batangas owned by Prats' family, the 90s child star looked elegant in a intricately designed off-shoulder, laced wedding gown she matched with a silver tiara, while Yambao was dressed in a three-piece suit with a white dress shirt and bow tie. He completed his dapper ensemble with a pair of black, leather shoes.

It was Prats' second wedding following the passing of her former husband Anthony Linsangan, who died of cancer in 2011. They have a son named Nathan.

But as much as life can be cruel, it can only also create wonders. Prats and Yambao met again by chance after 20 years of not seeing each other at a beach in California, a simple moment that never in their wildest dreams did they think would change their lives, as the actress admitted in their save-the-date video released last month.

And after dating for two years, the pair got engaged last July. In an interview with Pep, Prats said that her son's approval of her new relationship proved to be a huge factor in her saying yes to Yambao's proposal.

"I'm always after my son's happiness. If he's not happy about something, hindi rin magma-materialize sa 'kin iyon," she shared. "Kaya rin umabot sa ganito, itong relationship na ito, it's also because of him."
