Amid sky-high expectations for their loveteam, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin have delivered well acting-wise and in terms of chemistry on Dirty Linen. Much like the revenge in the series, their moments together were best served sweet. In the middle of an intricate narrative, Chiara and Nico’s meet-cute was truly a breath of fresh air. They bumped into each other in a mall, and she thought his kindness was part of his job as a maintenance crew. Nico smiled, smitten. He explained that he isn’t a janitor and introduced himself, which Chiara acknowledged without telling him her real name.

As destiny worked, they met again in a resort where Nico is a staff. Though the characters weren’t yet comfortable around each other at the time, their little moments brought enough 'feels.' They had the chance to talk about life and her sad relationship with her mom Leona (Janice de Leon) and dad Carlos (John Arcilla). The always optimistic Nico emphasized that she’s still lucky to have her parents around, unlike him who only saw his mother through photos. It broke Chiara’s heart, but at the same time raised her appreciation for Nico.

They became classmates when Nico applied for a scholarship at the same university where Chiara studies. And, inevitably, they grew close. Remember the 'butterflies' when you sit next to your crush in class? We were hit right in the feels when the super-excited Nico sat beside Chiara.

He became the antidote to her ‘taray’ mode and her longing for affection. Whenever she’s grumpy and uptight, only he can make her smile. In the scene where she worried about her mom’s reaction to her flopped pool party, she realized that they can still have fun. His presence was more than enough to make her burst into a sweet smile.

How do you sweep a girl off her feet? Sharing a late-night conversation is a reliable ‘ligaw’ tactic. The pair looked too cute trying to hide their ‘kilig’ as they exchanged text messages to check on each other.

In times of loneliness, Chiara runs to Nico for comfort, especially after losing her father, Carlos (John Arcilla). They shared a deep conversation about pain and moving on, with Chiara regretting not being able to spend more time with her dad. She was devastated. And though Nico knew he couldn’t replace Carlos, he vowed to always be there when she needs somebody to lean on.

It’s no surprise that she ran to him after a heated argument with her mom. She asked if she could stay in his place, and of course, he took her in. As expected, this stirred big trouble. The next morning, Dennis (CJ Navato) told Nico about the rumors that he and Chiara eloped. Aidan (Zanjoe Marudo) also arrived at Nico’s dormitory to fix things.

For Chiara, Nico is her escape. Since her father passed away, she would rather hang out with Nico than follow her curfew. With how things were going between them, she decided to make their relationship official.

Nico was over the moon and announced in the restaurant that Chiara is his girlfriend. They exchanged “I love yous” and smiled tenderly at one another.

The ‘ship’ has officially sailed, so we got more swoon-worthy moments from the new couple. The thing
about Chiara and Nico’s relationship is it focuses on the emotional bond that flourished between them. In a scene, Chiara thanked Nico for being her shoulder to cry on, while he thanked her for bringing joy into his life. Did we mention she shielded him from her Kuya Aidan’s temper? If this isn’t love, then we don’t know what is.

Of course, we couldn’t leave out the scene where they went camping for a quick breather, aiming to escape the chaos involving their families. Chiara wanted to break free from distractions, so she threw out her mobile phone. She turned red when Nico shouted “I love you, Chiara” so loud and proud that their schoolmates cheered on them.

Their eyes glistened when he brought her home, and she called him “sweetie” as they exchanged goodbyes. The cute convo was more than enough to melt our FranSeth hearts.
