Those who follow the life of Love In 40 Days actress Janice de Belen in and out of showbiz would know that she only has one biological sister and she’s also in showbiz like her – none other than 2 Good 2 Be True actress Gelli de Belen.

Being one of the most well-loved artists in the industry not just because of her brilliant acting chops, but with her admirable personality as well, it isn’t surprising that she is able to gain friends throughout the past four decades. And from those friendships she forged, she has found a few people who she considers not only her best friends, but sisters by heart and by choice, too!

Two of them are Carmina Villaroel and Candy Pangilinan, to whom she and Gelli share a podcast with, which they call “Wala Pa Kaming Title.” In this podcast, they give us a glimpse of their beautiful friendship as they talk about various issues and topics as if they’re having their casual chikahan. There were also instances that they would appear in each other’s vlogs or would even go on trips here and abroad.

Aside from Carmina, Candy, and Gelli, Janice has established a wonderful sisterhood with Sunshine Cruz, Karla Estrada, Arlene Muhlach, Vina Morales, Jean Garcia, and Ruffa Gutierrez, as seen in a carousel of photos that she shared on Instagram last June.

Those who were able to catch Janice and Ruffa’s stint as “choose-gados” or judges in the “ReiNa ng Tahanan” segment of It’s Showtime would know that they’d grown closer because of that. During Janice’s birthday celebration on the show, Ruffa reminisced about the first time she met her when she was only 13 years, while Janice was already pregnant with her firstborn Igi Boy. Ruffa then remarked, “But I’m so blessed, thanks to Showtime, I found a true friend in Ate Janice.”

As Ruffa mentioned that people warned her about Janice being mataray, the latter clarified, “Mabati naman ako, pero hindi lang ako masyadong friendly. Mapili ako sa friendships.

Janice further talked about it during her Magandang Buhay interview in November 2021. According to her, she was actually not a friendly person in her younger years, but as she grew older and gained a lot of experiences, she started to come out of her shell and became more open about her life. Attesting to it was her younger sister Gelli, who commented that it’s actually Janice who’s the real suplada between them, which the latter willingly admitted.
