War shatters friendships. In Nueva Esperanza where there’s a prevalent battle between good and evil, some friends are divided and turning into enemies. Even Narda (Jane de Leon)’s group wasn’t spared from the effects of evil planted by Heneral Borgo (Richard Quan). Now, all we can do is reminisce about the good times when Narda’s squad with Brian (Joshua Garcia), Richard (LA Santos), and Andre (Young JV) was still solid and happy.

In this Kapamilya Toplist, we collated scenes of their friendship that we all miss.

The video montage opens with the boys’ drinking session in which Richard noticed that Brian was drawn to Narda, otherwise, he wouldn’t be talking about her the whole night. Richard is so observant, right? However, Brian was still in denial at this point. Yup, the boys had such carefree moments just enjoying each other’s company.

Narda brought refreshing energy to the ‘barkada’ when she started training for Vanguardia Foundation under Brian’s supervision. Though the guys found her weird at first, her being ‘astig’ and kind-hearted won them. And as the only girl in the group, she’s often the bullied one, all for fun. There was a scene where Richard and Andre laughed off her theories about Javier/Lindol Man (Dominic Ochoa). They didn’t believe Narda when she said Javier could control earthquakes.

When she giddily talked about her mom Leonor (Iza Calzado)’s legacy, her friends were proud, sure, but it wouldn’t be a normal conversation without the ‘asaran.’ Richard and Andre said Narda might just be seeing her mother’s ghost.

Going back to the boys’ routine, there was a scene where Andre and Richard teased Brian about heading the Task Force Extra, saying their friend might be so busy to even drink with them. The ever-observant Richard noticed that Brian was inspired and thought the reason was love. They figured Brian has a crush on Darna, who just visited him at his house last night. Insert Andre’s hilarious one-liners. He joked that Brian shouldn’t worry about Darna because the latter is a brave woman, so brave she can face the public in a two-piece bikini.

Andre’s “haba ng bangs” comment is equally unforgettable. In that scene, he and Richard were invited to join the Custodios for dinner. The guys teased Narda for her long line of suitors, which includes Noah (Paolo Gumabao).

Later on, Andre and Brian started to notice that Narda goes missing whenever Darna is around. Richard was quiet because he promised Narda to protect her secret after accidentally catching her transformation.

Things happened fast in Nueva Esperanza. The next thing they knew, more people were infected by the chrysalis, including Andre, turning him into an Extra. Andre was distant. But his friends remained patient until they figured out the cause of his peculiar behavior. Narda promised Richard to save Andre from Borgo and the effects of the chrysalis on his body. They were missing the old times, their ‘tropa’, and the peace in Nueva Esperanza. Richard often finds himself reminiscing about their happy days with Andre.

Despite the chaos, life must go on. Narda and Brian became lovers. Richard was supportive of the new couple. We love the scene where he teased them in front of the rescuers. It showed that they are each other’s greatest friends. In his conversation with Narda, he praised her for setting her priorities straight. He’s glad that even if Narda is a superhero, nothing has changed between them. Richard said he feels lucky to have Narda and Darna as a friend.
