She said they have delivered 7 million units worldwide already.</p><p>“Tesla has [a] presence in about 50 countries around the world. We pick our preferences. So I pick the Philippines as the next new market in the world,” she said.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/173106363990020241108-hh-2.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>Tesla&#x27;s Model Y and Model 3 cars are making their debut in the Philippines. Prices for the vehicles range from P2.1 million to P3.3 million depending on the features. For example, a Model Y rear-wheel drive with a 455 km range and top speed of 217 km/h costs P2.3 million.</p><p>“It&#x27;s the most affordable. I don’t see any car in this range or this pedigree with this kind of pricing. It’s gonna wow the market,” Fan added.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PoKZzwINUdw?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>The National Development Company, an attached agency of DTI, welcomes the arrival of Tesla in the country. Its General Manager, Usec. Antonilo Mauricio, said this will boost the electric vehicle (EV) industry, especially with the price point of the new Tesla models.</p><p>“The price range of EVs here, I think they’re one the lowest in the market, if not the lowest. With a brand like Tesla, that’s good for the Filipino consumers,” said Mauricio.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/173106369319920241108-hh-3.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>Kevin Tan, CEO of Alliance Global Group, welcomes Tesla as a tenant of Megaworld&#x27;s Uptown Parade. He said the first Tesla supercharger station will also soon open at Uptown Mall and more are being planned across all Megaworld properties.</p><p>“They will deploy their charging stations all over our malls and our properties already. They&#x27;re looking at our hotels as well, our townships” said Tan, adding that the EV maker will be deploying &quot;quite a number of charging stations.&quot;</p><p>Tesla added that supercharging is available at P19/ kwh or a full charge costing only around P1,140.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/173106373283920241108-hh-4.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>The tech company will soon launch the Tesla Design Studio in the Philippines where Filipinos can customize the car’s exterior, interior, and even some features.
