Passengers were given food and drinks and assisted with their flight rebookings,&quot; PAL said in a statement. </p><figure class="op-interactive"><div id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1_Container"> <ivs-player id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-vid="1426217" data-ivs-floating="1"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/iframe-parent.js"></script> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script> </div></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna also belied stories circulating on social media that there was an explosion on the plane. </p><p>&quot;Wala pong nasaktan, wala pong nangyaring explosion. Ang nangyari po ay birdstrike and the captain was able to bring the aircraft to a halt and return the aircraft to ramp,&quot; Villaluna said in an interview with DZMM Teleradyo. </p><p>She said that the PAL jet was about to take off when a bird was sucked into one of its engines, creating a loud noise. This prompted the pilot to abort the flight. </p><p>Villaluna added that all 180 passengers aboard the plane were rebooked on later flights going to Manila. </p>
