MANILA - ABS-CBN Global Remittance Inc., a unit of ABS-CBN Corp., has filed a lawsuit in the US against Island Pacific supermarket entities and their owner, Jefferson 'Nino' Miave Lim, and other members of the Lim family over alleged fraud.

The lawsuit alleged that the Island Pacific entities and the Lim family conspired to defraud ABS-CBN in connection with ABS-CBN’s remittance business.

In the lawsuit, ABS-CBN asserts four causes of action against the Island Pacific Supermarket entities and the Lim family members, including fraudulent conveyance; fraud; aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty; and, conversion.

ABS-CBN is also seeking punitive damages in this case, which is pending before the Los Angeles Superior Court as case number BC611130.
