When you're given the chance to learn from a top Korean celebrity hairstylist, you grab it and you pay attention! Such was the case for us, when recently we had the privilege of learning from Sunwoo Kim, one of the top hairstylists in the Korean showbiz scene. He's also the co-founder/owner of famed Woosun, a Cheongdam-based salon. Among his many clients are A-list Hallyu celebrities like Park Min-young, Seo Ye-ji, Blackpink, Irene Kim, Kim Go-eun, and Park Soo-joo.

In the virtual session, Sunwoo shared with us his top tips and secrets for recreating K-drama-inspired hairstyles using the next generation Dyson Airwrap multi-styler, a tool he swears by for his demanding beauty career. We learned how to do C-curl blowouts, soft waves, and air bangs, which are supposedly an in-demand look in Korea, for their ability to make anyone look youthful in an instant!

The Dyson Airwrap multi-styler is something we've learned to love through the years, but it's back with even more new features to love—new attachments which make achieving curls and waves faster and easier, with no heat damage to help maintain hair strength!

Wondering how to achieve the in-demand look? Just follow through these easy steps:

1. Start with towel-dried hair. Apply your favorite styling product and comb your hair with a Detangling comb.
2. Blow dry hair using the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler and the Coanda Smoothing Dryer attachment. Select the drying mode, by simply turning the switch on the attachment in the direction of the arrow. Choose low heat and high airflow setting, to pre-dry hair until it is about 80% dry.
3. Add voluminous curls and waves by switching the attachment to the 40mm Airwrap™ barrel. Using a high heat and high airflow setting, hold the middle of a hair tress and let the enhanced Coanda airflow automatically attract and wrap hair on the barrel. Hold in place until dry. Set the style with a cold shot for 5 to 10 seconds, before slowly releasing the curl.
4. Twist the cool tip on the barrel to change direction of the airflow and repeat on the next hair tress, to create a more natural look. Repeat around the head, alternating the airflow direction each time.
5. To create the air bangs, switch to the Dyson Airwrap™ Soft Smoothing Brush to create volume from the roots of hair. Choose a high heat and high airflow setting and place the brush under the fringe to lift the hair. The higher the lift, the rounder and more natural the shape of the fringe will be. Use the 30mm barrel to create the air-bangs and comb through them again with the Soft Smoothing Brush.
6. Lastly, use the smoothing mode of the Dyson Airwrap™ Coanda Smoothing Dryer on medium speed and low heat to hide flyaways and finish off the look. Start at the front left of the parting and smooth over the top section, leaving out the ends.

• When styling, the first stage of styling is to break the ‘temporary’ bonds in the hair so that it can be reshaped. This can typically be achieved by either wetting the hair or by heat.
• For frizz-prone hair, try the Dyson Airwrap™ Firm Smoothing Brush to achieve your voluminous air-bangs.
